The designation is meant to signify that a plant ranks among the top 25 percent of auto assembly plants in the nation in energy performance, Honda said.
The Marysville plant produces the Accord sedan and coupe as well as the Acura TL sedan. The East Liberty plant assembles the Crosstour, the CR-V and the Acura RDX.
Honda employs more than 13,000 workers in Ohio, including about 1,300 who commute to the company’s plants from the Miami Valley. The company also has its Midwest Consolidation Center in Troy.
