Brown succeeds Eric Sutphin. Huntington has promoted Sutphin to lead risk-management activities for Huntington’s wealth advisors, government finance and home lending segments, the company said.
Previously, Brown served as managing director of audit services at SunTrust Banks Inc.
Brown began his banking career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, based in Richmond, Va., and later became a senior auditor for that organization. He went on to work at Arthur Andersen LLP as a manager in technology risk consulting, Huntington executives said.
In the Dayton metropolitan area, Huntington had 12 offices as of June 30, 2010. The area includes Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties. The bank ended last June with $587 million in deposits or 5.66 percent in the four-county region, according to the FDIC.
