Indian company chooses Teradata tool

An Indian financial services company has selected a Teradata data tool, the local company said.

Aditya Birla Financial Services Group (ABFSG) has selected the Teradata “Data Warehouse Appliance” from Miami Twp.-based Teradata Corp. to run business and customer relationship management functions, Teradata said.

Teradata calls itself the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics.

The tool “will provide valuable insights for all sales, marketing and customer service-related business units within the Financial Services Group – Birla Sun Life Insurance Co., Birla Sun Life Asset Management Co. and Birla Sun Life Distribution Co.,” Teradata said.

Teradata has some 400 local employees.
