“This unit is a critical part of our overall strategy to build upon our highly successful and nationally recognized neuroscience program,” says Sally Grady, director of neurosciences for Kettering Medical Center. “Our teams of physicians, nurses and scientists use innovative technology and advanced approaches to diagnose and treat the most routine to the most complex neurological disorders.”
The neuroscience unit involved a total renovation of an existing unit in the hospital, according to Kettering spokeswoman Elizabeth Long.
Danis Building Construction handled the renovation, which cost $3.2 million and included new flooring, wall covering, finishes, lighting, fixtures, shower stalls, and patient beds.
The renovations were designed to improve the patient and staff experience and reduce risk, Long said.
