KHN expands outpatient presence with DMI buy

Kettering Health Network has purchased two medical imaging centers and will retain their four physicians, KHN announced on Thursday.

Dayton Medical Imaging South, 7901 Schatz Pointe Drive, in Centerville, and DMI North, 113 National Road, in Vandalia, will open as KHN’s most active outpatient medical imaging sites next Wednesday after being closed Saturday through Tuesday for new computer installation. The two locations currently handle more than 40,000 procedures per year.

The purchase price was not disclosed. The DMI North site is KHN’s first location in Vandalia.

The DMI radiologists joining KHN include Dr. Jeffrey D. Cushman; Dr. Bradley Weber; Dr. Wilfredo J. Suntay; and Dr. Mark J. Sulek. Their 25 clinical and office staffers will be retained, KHN said.

DMI North’s services include X-ray, Dexa scan, mammography, ultrasound, CT (computerized axial tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) imaging services. DMI South provides the same services, plus digital mammography and PET scan capabilities.
