Kremchek named 2010 Outstanding Team Physician

WEST CHESTER TWP. — Local physician Dr. Tim Kremchek, medical director for the Cincinnati Reds, has been named the 2010 Outstanding Team Physician for High School Athletics.

Kremchek, once nicknamed “Doc Hollywood” by former Reds player Barry Larkin, owns and is an original partner of Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in West Chester Twp. and Sharonville. He has served as team physician for Moeller, Madeira and Kings high schools.

He continues to work with the Moeller team and Wittenberg University in Springfield.

The Outstanding Team Physician Award is given by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, and a selection committee considers the endorsement of school officials, coaches, athletic trainers and civil officials in order to select the award recipient.

Kremchek will receive the award at the home football game for the Moeller Crusaders at Lockland Stadium Oct. 23, when Moeller plays Lakewood St. Edward.
