L-3 Link gets additional Air Force simulator contract work

ARLINGTON, Texas — L-3 Link Simulation & Training said it has been awarded a contract option from the Air Force to build and deliver an additional flight training simulator for F-16 aircraft.

It will be the fifth F-16 mission training center L-3 Link is to deliver to the Air Force, company officials said. L-3 Link, based in suburban Dallas, declined to reveal the value of the contract option.

Each of the centers contains four simulators for pilot training. The simulators allow pilots to practice for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat missions.

They are to be delivered to Air Force bases across the country and overseas.
