Thompson led LJB for 14 years.

Prior to his selection as CEO, Sommer served as division manager for the firm’s facilities division. He has more than 22 years of management experience in the engineering and architectural consulting industry, the company said. Sommer has also served on the boards of more than a dozen non-profit organizations.
LJB has about 100 employees at offices in Miami Twp., Cleveland, Lima, St. Louis and Lansing, Mich. The company was named this year as one of the area’s top places to work by WorkplaceDynamics in conjunction with the Dayton Daily News.
