Local bulk e-mail company celebrates new client

JangoMail, a Bellbrook-based provider of permission-based email marketing software, announced that Popcorn Palace, an Illinois-based online purveyor of gourmet popcorn, is using JangoMail’s e-mail marketing service.

Popcorn Palace is using the software to extend the reach of its online catalog and offer promotions to prospective customers bi-weekly, JangoMail said in an announcement.

Popcorn Palace makes, sells and ships 27 varieties of popcorn nationwide. The popcorn is offered on the Internet at www.popcornpalace.com and via catalog.

“Companies such as Popcorn Palace are quickly realizing the positive impact that e-mail marketing has on their e-commerce business plans,” Ajay Goel, a 1995 Centerville High School graduate and president of JangoMail, said in his company’s statement. “By utilizing JangoMail’s personalization features, companies can create and send tailored communications to their target audiences — significantly improving open and click-through rates, which have a positive impact on customer service and sales.”

JangoMail’s software is used for marketing and sales, including newsletters, announcements and promotions. The firm has about 1,800 active customers, with about 15 locally, the company said. JangoMail gains about 15 new customers a week, losing only about five customers weekly, Goel said in a recent interview with the Dayton Daily News.
