Local doctor to be president of national medical group

CENTERVILLE — Dr. H. Brent Bamberger will be installed as the next president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics on Monday, Oct. 25, in San Francisco.

Bamberger has served as the organization’s first vice president for the past year, according to the AOAO.

Bamberger is the director of the Hand Center of Southwestern Ohio, which has several locations across the Miami Valley, and is residency director at Grandview Hospital.

As of May, the AOAO has 1,615 members. The AOAO has 29 approved osteopathic orthopedic residency programs with 433 approved residency slots and graduates in excess of 50 osteopathic orthopedic surgeons a year, according to a press release.
