Melody Pool sold to new owner

A Clayton swim club has been sold to a new owner, according to the family that has operated the private, members-only pool for nearly two decades.

Melody Pool at 7331 Pleasant Plain Road in Clayton was purchased by Nick Albert, according to a media release from the Oyer and Stidham families. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Albert also owns Flamingo Tan, Touchdowns Haircuts for Men, and NCA Properties. He will become the pool’s fourth owner effective Oct. 1.

Melody Pool opened for its first summer in 1964, according to the business’ website. The current owners, Debbie and Fred Oyer, have owned the pool since October 1996.
