DAYTON — Methodist Hospital System has chosen NCR Corp.’s self-service online system and self-service kiosks to allow patients to make appointments, pay account balances online and find maps to help them find their way around the Houston-based health care complex.
Studies have shown that offering greater convenience to patients can increase their loyalty to that organization, NCR said Monday, March 1.
Methodist Hospital System is a nonprofit organization that includes an academic medical center, three community hospitals, a research institute and a physician practice.
NCR, formerly based in Dayton, has moved its headquarters to the Atlanta area after more than a century in Dayton.
