Midmark expands international business

Dayton-based Midmark Corp. has reached an agreement to take sole ownership of Janak Healthcare Private Ltd.. a health care manufacturer headquartered in Mumbai, India, company officials announced Thursday.

The acquisition will expand Midmark’s international business in heath care products and services for more efficient and effective patient care, officials said.

Midmark started a partnership with Janak in December 2008, acquiring a minority equity position in the company. In 2010, Midmark increased its equity share in Janak, becoming the majority shareholder.

Headquartered at the University of Dayton River Campus building at 1700 S. Patterson Blvd., Midmark manufactures medical, dental and veterinary equipment. The company has 1600 workers worldwide, including 850 at its Versailles campus in Darke County.
