“By putting the boxes in condo complexes, office buildings, hospitals and gyms we can make it more convenient for people because they are going there anyway,” John Blair, franchise owner of Bizziebox said. “It eliminates an errand.”
After registering on the company’s website, the customer will drop their items in one of the locker locations and choose a four digit code; the cleaners are automatically notified and picks the items up. When the items are cleaned and ready, the customer receives a text message with the locker number and four-digit code for pick-up. In addition there is a Bizziebox app available.
“Our goal would be to see a Bizziebox in every building downtown,” said Annette Sand, marketing manager for the Dayton Bizziebox franchise.
Residents of the Lofts at Willow Creek will be the first in the Dayton area to experience the convenience of BizzieBox.
“I think it is a perfect fit for our clientele,” Christina Hardy, property manager for Lofts said, “and if it works at the Lofts, we manage several other properties it might be a fit for.”
A Bizziebox locker will be placed in the lobby of the fitness center which residents have 24-hour access.
Performance Place at the Schuster Center is considering putting a locker in its underground parking garage. It will add value to the people who live and work in the building, Maureen Bereda, property manager said.
Cost for the service will run $2.79 for a dress shirt and $6.99 for slacks, five or more items will be discounted to $2.29 for shirts and $5.99 for slacks, according to Blair. The first box is expected to open in the Lofts at Willow Creek in April.
