New pastry, smoothie shop at Dayton Mall serves up taste of Colombia

A Colombian family wants to give the Dayton region a taste of their country.

Mango Twister, a sweets and smoothie shop, just opened in front of the Dayton Mall in Miami Twp. The space previously housed a Winans Fine Chocolates and Coffees candy and wine shop that shut down in May after more than a decade in business.

The shop serves up piping hot Colombian coffee, frozen mango juice and smoothies. Mango Twister also serves an authentic Colombian dish — ripe mango curls with salt, lemon, sweetened condensed milk and coconut flakes. Obleas wafers, mango cakes and flans are also served.

Mango Twister is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The address is 2806 Miamisburg-Centerville Road.
