Park for Austin Landing on agenda

Miami Twp. Zoning Commission today will consider approving the creation of a public park at the Austin Landing development.

Zoning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at township offices to consider changes to 7.6 acres at the mixed-use development off the Interstate 75-Austin Boulevard interchange in Southern Miami Twp. Also up for consideration is space for parking and public roads.

The area at issue is nearly 8 acres east of Penny Lane, north of Innovation Drive, west of Kohl’s Drive and south of Landing Way. The whole area is just west of Ohio 741.

Austin Landing has developed since 2010, when the interchange opened. Property owner and developer RG Properties has completed a trio of office buildings, including the Teradata Corp. headquarters, a hotel-conference center and two stores. BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse and Panera Bread restaurant have opened and a multi-tenant retail area is under construction.
