Payza selects LexisNexis for compliance screening

Payza, a leading online payment company, has contracted with LexisNexis to provide compliance screening services for identity verification and authentication.

The move will allow Payza to augment its compliance processes for sanction screenings, a requirement of all companies in the payment industry, officials said.

“In the payments industry, you must maintain a constant vigil on the transactions you facilitate,” said Mohammad Hashemi, director of product strategy for Payza. “LexisNexis allows us to perform due diligence in real-time and flag names that may pose a risk to our business.”

The LexisNexis system interfaces with sanctions lists from 180 countries and is updated on a daily basis. The system is specifically designed to serve the multi-billion dollar risk information industry, which includes financial services companies.

Montreal-based Payza specializes in e-commerce processing, corporate disbursements, and remittances for individuals and businesses around the world.

LexisNexis has about 3,400 employees and contractors in Miami Twp., which is the company’s biggest single concentration of employment.
