Peoplefirst acquires Acclaim hospice centers

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — Peoplefirst HomeCare and Hospice has acquired Acclaim Hospice and Palliative Care, which has locations in Washington Twp. and Columbus.

The acquisition was announced in a Jan. 11 prepared release by Peoplefirst’s parent company, Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare, Inc.

The Washington Twp. location is at 7887 Washington Village Drive, Suite 350.

Peoplefirst’s two Ohio locations will still operate under the Acclaim name. Together, they generated revenues of about $9 million in 2009.

Peoplefirst also has locations in Denver and Indianapolis, and hopes to open a location in Boston by March 1.
