SBA turns to YouTube to promote entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration is using YouTube to promote entrepreneurship and the importance of small business to the nation’s economy.

The SBA YouTube channel, at

, made its debut with a 60-second introduction for the agency and its programs and services. The SBA hopes to reach younger audiences with programming on the social networking site, said Karen Mills, the agency’s administrator.

SBA officials said the agency plans videos with additional information about SBA programs and services for entrepreneurs. Topics are to include government loan programs, contracting opportunities, and counseling and training on how to start and build a small business.
