The owners of Springboro Wine & Spirits have proposed building an 8,000-square-foot building for their business and would include 2,000 square feet for other offices or tenants. The developer listed on the application is Centerville-based Dryden Builders. The owners of the wine and spirits outlet would not comment on plans for the building.
The owners have another Springboro Wine & Spirits outlet located on the opposite side of town at 281 Central Ave.
The commission will also discuss plans for a new office building off North Main Street in one of the city’s industrial parks on West Tech Road, according to the commission agenda.

Beavercreek-based Mills Development will ask the commission for approval to build a 25,000-square-foot office building. The total cost of the project is around $5 million, according to Jerad Barnett, the president and CEO of Synergy Building Systems & Mills Development.
“We’ve seen a lot of activity in the area,” Barnett said. “We’re looking to start a building to be able to react quicker to the demand down there.”
Barnett said the Springboro market has been very active, and the company has seen a large interest in medical company developments. Synergy & Mills is working on the expansion project for Dayton Children’s outpatient care center and urgent care, and the company just recently finished a project for Kettering Health Network on Ohio 741.

The area has seen widespread development because of its adjacent position to the Austin interchange and its central location to two cities — Dayton and Cincinnati.
Barnett said he is hopeful for approval from the commission. The commission meeting on Wednesday is a working session, and members will not formally approve any plans. Approval could happen at the end of next month.
