Stitching Post bankruptcy case dismissed

DAYTON — A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge has dismissed the Stitching Post’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case for failure to file required documents.

The case was officially closed on Friday, Sept. 3.

The Stitching Post store at 101 E. Alex-Bell Road in Centerville closed on June 26.

Reached Wednesday, owner Nancy Powers declined comment.

On its June 10 bankruptcy filing, the company listed fewer than $50,000 in assets and between $100,001 and $500,000 in debts. But the debtor hadn’t filed documents such as statements of its financial affairs and current monthly income, prompting the case’s dismissal.
