Teradata offers data disaster recovery service

MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County — Teradata Corp. has announced its “Teradata Disaster Recovery Solution” product.

The product was designed for chief technology officers who don’t want to create their own disaster data recovery product, Teradata said today, June 29.

“To keep costs low, Teradata customers can tailor the level of assistance needed to meet the specific demands of their enterprise, and also have access to the Teradata recovery centers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” Randy Lea, Teradata vice president, products and services marketing, said in a statement from the company. “Customers bring knowledge of their data and applications and Teradata brings the expertise and experience in disaster recovery.”

Data warehouses — in which Teradata specializes — contain information on stocking shelves, booking flights, customer habits, billing, financial reporting and more.

With 400 local employees, Teradata says it is the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing. Teradata has a presence in more than 60 countries.
