Today, Franklin City Council’s Economic Development Committee is scheduled to consider the application filed on Jan. 30.
The tax abatement would save F&G $17,054 a year, based on current tax rates, Warren County Auditor Nick Nelson said.
The company’s tax benefit would be affected by any payments in lieu of property taxes to the local school district and other entities, Nelson said.
F&G began the expansion in September 2013 and anticipates concluding construction in April, according to the application.
The company already has about 30,000 square feet of office and manufacturing faciliies at the Franklin site, according to property records.
Ed Sharrer, the company official who made the application, declined to comment before the meeting today.
