Toys “R” Us to hire 45,000 for holiday season

Toys “R” Us on Tuesday announced plans to hire 45,000 employees to staff its stores and distribution centers in advance of the holiday shopping season. The number of seasonal workers is about the same as last year, officials said.

“We’re proud to create thousands of jobs across the country as we prepare for our busiest time of year in stores and online, while presenting opportunities for hardworking individuals to find a permanent position with our company,” said Elizabeth Wood, the company’s senior vice president of human resources, in a statement.
