Warped Wing named ‘best new brewery in Ohio’

Warped Wing Brewing Company in downtown Dayton, which celebrated its first birthday last weekend and which has already expanded to meet demand for its beers, has been named "Best New Brewer" in Ohio by the web site RateBeer.com.

“We’re honored and flattered,” Warped Wing co-founder Joe Waizmann said this afternoon.

The web site, founded in 2000, provides a forum for beer enthusiasts to rate beers and beer retailers. In its “Best of 2014” list that included the Warped Wing designation as best new brewer, the web site chose Hoppin’ Frog Brewery in Akron as “Top Brewer in Ohio” and the Hoppin’ Frog “Boris the Crusher” as “Top Beer” in Ohio.
