Yaskawa Motoman launches new product for commercial labs

Yaskawa Motoman, a global robotics manufacturer headquartered in Miamisburg, has introduced a new high-speed bulk sorter for high-volume commercial laboratories, company officials announced.

The company’s AutoSorter 2000BB processes specimens at speeds up to 2,000 tubers per hour, officials said.

Officials said the automated clinical laboratory specimen processing machine minimizes manual handling of specimens through bulk loading and unloading, and reduces sequential sorting by fine sorting in one step.

Motoman Robotics, a division of Yaskawa America, employs more than 350 people locally.
