The boy is in custody and will be placed into the county juvenile detention center, he said.
“As with any school threat we have a zero-tolerance approach. The city of Riverside partners with all our schools very closely,” Sturgeon said. “This is another example of the school immediately reaching out for assistance and our police department quickly addressed the threat.”
Classes will resume Tuesday after police gave the all clear, Superintendent Lucinda Hume stated in a social media post from the school.
