Carrie Underwood has announced that, after 12 years, she is stepping down as the host of the CMA Awards. For 11 years she hosted with Brad Paisley and 2019 was the first year that she did it with someone else. 2019 was a year celebrating the women of country music, old and new. Carrie hosted with legends Reba and Dolly. After hosting with Brad for 11 years and then this last year with two icons, she has decided that “FOR NOW” she is going to step down and let someone else do it. People on the internet are saying it’s because she was passed up as Entertainer of the Year at the 2019 awards... who knows the real reason, all we know is that she will be missed in that role tremendously!
