The "Conceited" rapper's lawyer, Dawn Florio, told TMZ that Ma, 38, whose birth name is Reminisce Smith, was at home at 9:30 p.m. April 16 at the time Taylor, 29, claims Ma punched her backstage at a concert at New York City's Irving Plaza.
Florio said she’s confident the security footage will vindicate her client and that prosecutors will drop the case. She also said there’s no surveillance video at the event that shows Ma in the green room area assaulting Taylor at the time Taylor claims.

"She's going to fight this to the end," Florio said, according to NBC News.
Florio also said there are plenty of witnesses at the venue who vouch that Ma had nothing to do with the incident.
Ma turned herself in to police Wednesday on misdemeanor assault charges and was released on a $1,500 bail.
