Ruby Tuesday to close 30 restaurants

The struggling Ruby Tuesday restaurant chain will close 30 of its 779 restaurants during 2014 as it attempts to restore profitability, according to Nation's Restaurant News (nrn.com).

The stores to be closed were not identified.

The Maryville, Tenn.-based restaurant chain has faced several quarters of negative same-store sales and has undergone corporate layoffs and a leadership change, NRN said.

Ruby Tuesday operates restaurants on Far Hills Avenue in Washington Twp., on Miller Lane in Butler Twp., in Troy, and in Mason, along with five locations in greater Cincinnati, according to the restaurant chain’s web site.
