Fans complain about new movie, director vows to listen, change ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’

It only took two days, but changes are apparently coming to the upcoming movie “Sonic the Hedgehog.”

The trailer for the video game-inspired film was released April 30.

While fans were excited to see the speedy character in the real world at first, the design of the iconic Sega hedgehog fell flat for the faithful.

Jeff Fowler, director of the film, told fans on Twitter that because of the criticism, the design will be changing, The Guardian reported.

There is no word yet on what changes will be made, Polygon reported.

Ben Schwartz gives Sonic his voice as he teams up with James Marsden’s Tom Wachowski and battles Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnick, Variety reported.

“Sonic the Hedgehog” is scheduled premiere on Nov. 8, Polygon reported.
