To explain what it was like at the time Huey said in an interview “I can’t hear music well enough to sing. The lower frequencies distort violently making it impossible to find pitch,”
He also commented “It can get better. It just hasn’t yet, I haven’t come to grips with the fact that I may never sing again. I’m still hoping I’m gonna get better. They say a positive attitude is important.”
Well the good news is, it must have improved because for the first time in 10 years we have new music from the band.
The lead off track from the new album expected in 2020 is this song “Her Love Is Killin’ Me”.
