Chances are high the “Schuyler sisters” will end up at Dayton’s Schuster Center before you know it.

Victoria Theatre Association spokeswoman Diane Schoeffler-Warren said she can make no promises, but people are working hard to bring the hit Broadway show Hamilton: An American Musical to Dayton.

“We are certainly advocating for it to be in Dayton,” she said. “We are excited.  We are looking forward to it.”

Warren said chances are high that a “Hamilton” premiere in Dayton would not come until sometimes after it plays first in Cincinnati.

“We are on that second (market size)  level,” she explained.

"Hamilton: An American Musical" will be staged at the Aronoff Center  in Cincinnati as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati 2018-2019 series.

No dates or times have been announced for the Cincinnati shows.

The Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton, one of the nation's founding fathers.

The Schuyler sisters — Angelica, Eliza and Peggy — are characters in Hamilton based on historic figures.

Warren said the local theater association is also working to get other works from Miranda to Dayton.

“He’s written other musicals as well,” she said.
