Beer pairings, music, a donut-eating contest and more awaits at the 2019 Donut Jam in Troy.

Each summer, festivals sweeten-up Main Street in Troy and perhaps the sweetest of them all is the Donut Jam. The 2019 Donut Jam is Friday, Aug. 23 from 5 to 11 p.m.

New to the popular annual event is a donut and beer pairing. Beer journalist and certified cicerone, David Nilsen, will guide visitors through a pairing of craft beers with delectable donuts from The Farmhouse Bakery in Troy.

One beer ticket will get visitors four different donut holes paired with 3 oz samples of four different craft beers. Visitors can stop by the pairing tent any time from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Nilsen will guide them through a quick and delicious pairing of these local treats.

Beer tickets can be purchased at the festival.

Other highlights include live music, local vendors and on Saturday, separate from the festival, the annual Tour De Donut race that attracts more than 2,500 participants will start at the festival location. Details and registration information can be found at bikesignup.com.
