Butler County Fair starts Sunday

The 163rd Butler County Fair kicks off Sunday, July 21, with seven days of food, rides and entertainment.

Headlining this year’s fair is a demolition derby that will be held both Monday and Friday nights at 7 p.m. For those seeking thrills, the fair offers many carnival-style rides to enjoy. The fair will also host several competitions including a cornhole tournament and a garden tractor pull. Visitors with an appreciation of artwork should visit the Bear Hollow wood carving display to see life-like depictions of various animals carved out of wood.

Food: Food vendors will have a variety of options including hot dogs, hamburgers and funnel cakes. Prices range from $1 to $8.

Entertainment: Wood carving, cornhole tournament, garden tractor pull, demolition derby.

Dates: July 21-27. Sunday: 12 p.m.-11 p.m.;Monday-Saturday: 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Rides open at 4 p.m. on Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Price: General admission: $7. Children 6-12: $2.
