First-ever ‘Shop Hop on the Avenue’ coming Thursday in Oakwood

Tracey Schumann, owner of Get Dressed! Boutique, said the event could become recurring if Thursday’s turnout is strong.

Here’s a sampling of what some of the businesses will be offering Thursday:

• Ashley's Pastry Shop will be sampling spring bakery items and offering graduation party ideas;

• Lula Bell Art & Designs will host an art demonstration and will have a drawing to win an art class;

• Blue Turtle Toys will be demonstrating some of the store's favorite games for groups and families

• Get Dressed will host a Softino and Bos & Co. shoe event and will offer in-store makeovers from Trish McEvoy;

• Whispers will host an UGG Trunk Show and will offer promotional pricing on spring merchandise and fall pre-orders;

• Oakwood Florist will offer 20 percent off all gift items

• Wild Poppy will open its doors for a sneak peek at the new store.
