“That’s something that people seem to get really excited about,” Dietrich said about the trend toward friends and co-workers getting together for a holiday-style meal without their relatives, and usually not on the holiday itself.

Dietrich huddled with her executive chef and other Lock 27 folks, and they decided to go all-in on the idea. So now, both Lock 27 brewpubs will host Friendsgiving gatherings targeting parties of six to 10 people over three nights: Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 18-20.

The events will include a full Thanksgiving-style meal, with a menu of smoked, dry-rubbed turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green-bean casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie, and five to seven 64-ounce growlers of beer (based on party size), all served up family-style.

“People can come in, their tables will be prepared, they’ll have Thanksgiving decorations on the table, and growlers of beer will be on the table,” Dietrich said.
And they won’t have to cook OR clean up, she said.

The cost is $50 per person. Reservations are required and must be made by Nov. 14, since the special menu items must be ordered and prepared especially for this meal.

Those making reservations will be asked to pay half up-front and the other half on the day of their event. Reservation time slots begin at 6 p.m. Reservations can be made in person at the Lock 27 location of choice, or by phone at (937) 433-2739.
