The Italian Fall Festa at Bella Villa Hall is one of the Dayton-area's most beloved festivals, as approximately 50,000 people who visit each year can attest to.

When the festival celebrated 40 years two years ago, organizers were thinking even bigger than their three-day foodie’s dream usually allows.

They wanted their own beer, so they went out and did it.

"This is something we felt we wanted to do about a year or so ago," said Brian Andzik, chairperson for the Festa, at the time. "It takes a lot of work and planning to come up with an idea like this. We started working on it with our good friend Joe Waizmann (formerly of Warped Wing Brewing Company) back in March."

Dayton's Warped Wing Brewing Company has released Limone Lager just for the Fall Festa.

The result was Limone Lager, and it's been a popular addition to this weekend's Festa.

This refreshing beverage is similar to Warped Wing's signature Trotwood Lager, but with a hint of lemon. The four percent ABV means you can enjoy several throughout the day without overdoing it.

“It’s a real nice lemon taste. It’s not overpowering,” added co-organizer Jim Balsamo.
