Local BBQ restaurant teams up with local sauce-maker for charity ‘Backyard BBQ’

Texas Beef & Cattle Company and Mutt's Sauce are teaming up to host the first Wright Dunbar Charity Backyard BBQ from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 26.

The event, which will also feature a “Pros vs. Joes” grilling contest, will be held at Texas Beef & Cattle Company restaurant at 1101 W. Third Street in Dayton.

"For a $10 donation to Fisher House of Dayton and the local YWCA, you will be able to join a street party celebrating summertime, music, good barbecue, and access to information booths that will be along the closed street," organizers say on their event page. The event is open to the public.

Entrants into the grilling contest will make a grilled entree that will be blind-taste-tested by a panel of local celebrity judges. The winner will receive a new grill and free Mutt’s Sauce.
