Giving Tuesday: Dayton organizations asking for your donations on this day of charity

After you’ve spent all of your money on gifts and applicable “treat yo’self” moments on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Museum Store Sunday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday (falling on Dec. 3 this year) gives you a chance to give some of your hard-earned money back to the community.

Campaign: The museum, located at 456 Belmonte Park North in Dayton, is encouraging support through the end of the month as part of their declaration to make every day Giving Tuesday.

It asks patrons to donate to its annual fund, purchase or renew memberships, or support the museum while shopping using Kroger’s Community Rewards program or Dorothy Lane Market’s Good Neighbor Program.

Campaign: The hospital's #GivingTuesday Challenge started on Black Friday and ends on #GivingTuesday. Families, patients, community friends and employees create a personal giving pages to share why they believe in supporting Dayton Children's. The "champions" are competing to be the top fundraiser.

The event’s sponsor, Boom Crate, will be matching every donation up to $15,000.
