The 53rd annual Northridge Homecoming/Community Parade will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 on North Dixie Drive.

This year’s parade theme is Northridge Strong, Celebrating Trick or Treat. Northridge was among the areas hardest hit by the Memorial Day tornadoes.

The parade line up begins on Arthur Avenue and proceeds south onto North Dixie Drive. It will pass the newly finished Northridge preK-12 school building, then turn left up the Timber Lane hill, ending at the old Northridge High School parking lot.

More than a mile of North Dixie Drive will be closed to regular traffic and bus service for the parade, including the intersection of North Dixie and Needmore Road. That will also affect access to side streets.
