Here's the NYE lineup of the best celebrations in Georgia:

The Perry Buzzard Drop. 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31. Free. Downtown Square. 801 Main St., Perry. 478-988-2720.

Travel south to Perry for their annual Buzzard Drop, where spectators can watch Bob the Buzzard descend from atop his perch, enjoy live music and entertainment, dancing and souvenirs available for purchase.

8th Annual New Year's Eve Geranium Drop. 9 p.m.-midnight. Free. Historic McDonough Square. 5 Griffin St., McDonough. 770-898-3196.

Join the town of McDonough for the 8th Annual New Year's Even Geranium Drop, with food and drink specials, live music, dancing and a countdown at midnight featuring the giant geranium ball.

Surround yourself with the sights and sounds of Bollywood this New Years Eve at Sankranti Restaurant in Johns Creek. Along with a live DJ spinning Bollywood favorites, you'll enjoy unlimited appetizers, an MC performance, Midnight Champagne Toast, party favors and a live count down.

Atlanta Wine Festival New Year's Eve. 9 p.m. Dec. 31. $99-$119 per person. City Winery Atlanta. 650 North Ave., Atlanta.

City Winery hosts the Atlantra Wine Festival New Year's Eve celebration at Ponce City Market with a premium buffet, a DJ, live music from Coast Guard and a wide array of wine, liquor and beer. Make sure to wear your best cocktail attire to this one. 

Black and White Midnight Masquerade Ball. 8 p.m.-4 a.m. Dec. 31. Tickets starting at $30. Savoy Events Center. 5571 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee.

You'll have a blast celebrating NYE with a masquerade ball at the Savoy Events Center. This event offers a complementary midnight champagne toast, a midnight balloon drop and free hor d-oeuvres. 

New Year's Eve Shamrock Drop. 8 p.m.-midnight. Dec. 31. Free. Downtown Dublin. 314 Academy Ave., Dublin. 478-272-4002.

Downtown Dublin will host the annual Shamrock Drop, which will feature live music, dancing, vendors, a DJ and, of course, the dazzling shamrock atop Fred Roberts building.

Dropping of the Edelweiss. 8 p.m. Dec. 31. $20 per person, $35 per couple, half price for children ages 6-12, free for children under 6. Helen Festhalle. 1074 Edelweiss Strasse, Helen. 706-878-1908.

Welcome the new year with a Bavarian celebration and the Dropping of the Edelweiss in Helen. This year's event will include live music, a champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres and a full cash bar.

Toast to the new year at the Georgia Aquarium! This Black and White New Year's Celebration will raise money for research and conservation programs at the aquarium and includes a complementary selection of beer and wine, a live DJ, live music, party favors, a full buffet, champagne toast at midnight and more. 

City of Villa Rica Gold Nugget Drop. 10 p.m.-midnight. Free. The MILL Amphitheater. 106 Temple St., Villa Rica. 678-840-1160.

The "City of Gold" will host the Gold Nugget Drop at The MILL with a KISS Tribute Band, so bring your lawn chairs and picnics and get ready to party heavy metal style.
