Group studying storm water policies

The commission is working with graduate students from Miami University’s Institute for the Environment and Sustainability. The students are researching what Oxford businesses and residents might be doing to mitigate possible storm water problems and concerns on their property. They will be attending various community events and functions asking individuals if they currently use Best Management Practices (BMPs) on their property. Best Management Practices could include anything from rain gardens and rain barrels to pervious pavement and bio-retention basins. If you are approached by one of these students, realize that a few minutes of your time might make a big difference in how Oxford approaches future storm water situations. If you have a BMP, please fill out the questionnaire located at http://cityofoxford.org/bmpq/.
