The restaurant's next Patio Puppies event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 20.
Emily Mendenhall, Lily’s general manager and co-owner, said she’s more of a cat person, but she gets barking excited about dogs, too.

Lily’s is partnering with SICSA Pet Adoption Center, which will have representatives and dogs available for adoption on site.
Ten percent of proceeds will be donated to SICSA.

The event will be held on the restaurant’s sidewalk patio and feature themed happy hour drink and dinner specials for people and gourmet dog treats for the pooches. SICSA will be on site from about 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., so it’s a perfect night to learn all about one of Dayton’s most beloved nonprofits.
"We always say we welcome well-behaved dogs on the sidewalk patio," Mendenhall said. "We have a lot of staff that have dogs and a lot of our customers have dogs."
The restaurant also has events for cats.
