At 7-foot, Pierce will be the biggest Flyer next season. He will not get to play with any of the current seniors, of course, but was impressed by them, especially Kendall Pollard, and the rest of the team, which pulled away in the final five minutes for a 75-66 victory.
“The first half was really intense,” Pierce said. “Then we got control of it in the second half. Definitely, KP was going off. Darrell (Davis) was knocking down 3s. Early in the second half, that helped us a lot.”

Pierce turned his attention toward his future Tuesday, but he’s also focused on the present and finishing his senior season strong.
“We’re 8-7 right now,” he said. “We kind of had a rough start, but we’re picking things up. Jersey basketball, in general, is tough.”
