Warped Wing Brewing Company is about to launch Brainiac Pale Ale — a salute to Brainiac, one of the most influential bands to come from the Gem City. The brew will be released on draft and in 12-ounce six-packs at Warped Wing's Brainiac Launch Party starting at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

The new brew is timely with the release of a new documentary, “Brainiac: Transmissions After Zero.” The feature length documentary explores the seminal 90’s rock band and its creative force Tim Taylor.

"Just days before signing a major record contract Taylor was killed in a bizarre auto accident leaving his family, friends and fans to pick up the pieces. The film celebrates the life and creativity of one of rock music's unsung heroes and how people cope with extreme and sudden loss and life changes," according to imbd.com.

The film made its world premiere at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival, one of the nation’s most prestigious arts festivals.
