Centerville grad, TV reporter proposed to on national TV

Centerville High School graduate Courtney Reagan, CNBC’s retail correspondent, became part of the story she was reporting on — engagement rings.

Her boyfriend, Jared Baker, walked on the set as she began to answer “Nightly Business Report” host Tyler Mathisen’s questions about national jeweler Jared.

The 31-year-old former Holiday at Home pageant queen said “Oh, my God” and began to cry after realizing why Baker was on the show’s set.

“Everybody is here,” he told her. “It has been a long time.”
