Clothes That Work needs items for men, women

In her weekly column, staff writer Meredith Moss focuses on the specific needs of non-profit organizations in our community. If your group has a wish list it would like to share with our readers, contact Meredith: MMoss@cox0hio.com

Clothes That Work, the local non-profit agency that provides interview-appropriate clothing to under-resourced clients, counts on donations from our community to provide services.

“The Dayton community and your Make a Difference column have truly made a difference in the futures of over 23,000 job-seekers over the years,” says Paula Cosby, executive director of the organization.

Clothes That Work not only provides clothing to its clients, but also offers image counseling and interview coaching. The organization recently unveiled a new logo, and now offers five soft skill training workshops to area businesses and organizations.

The resale boutique, open to the public at 1133 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., has become a popular shopping destination for reasonably priced clothing and accessories. You’ll get a sampling of those treasures at the Clothes That Work “pop-up” boutique at the Dayton Women’s Fair on Sept. 20 and 21 at the Airport Expo Center, 3900 McCauley Drive, Vandalia.

You can help ensure that the racks and shelves are filled by donating your gently-used men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. Items are needed year-round.
