You will need
Items I purchased:
• Styrofoam ball - $1.79 at Michael’s
• 4 yards of green tulle - $4.20 at JoAnn Fabrics
• Wreath Form - $3.99 at Flower Factory
Items I already had around the house:
• Toothpicks
• Black sharpie
• Serrated knife
• Scissors
Directions
1. Take your tulle and begin cutting it in strips that are about 4 inches wide by 8 inches long. This measurement does not need to be exact and can be more or less dependent on how much tulle you have. You just need it long enough to wrap around your wreath form and have edges sticking up.
2. Once your tulle strips have been made, begin tying each strip around your wreath form. Make sure and double knot it so that it stays in place. Place the knot side of it on the outside of your wreath.
3. Continue adding strips of tulle until your entire wreath is covered.
4. Use your serrated knife and cut your Styrofoam ball in half.
5. Use something round, I used a pill bottle lid, to trace a circle around the center on the rounded side of each Styrofoam ball half.
6. Color in the circles with your black marker.
7. Using toothpicks, stick each of the Styrofoam ball halves into the top part of your wreath. These will be the eyes of your monster.
8. Now, freehand some sharp teeth onto a piece of poster board. You will want them about four inches long and will need two sets of teeth.
9. Cut your two sets of teeth out and place them on the back side of your wreath. Place them in the center part of your wreath and secure them with thumb tacks. These will act as the teeth of your monster.
10. Once everything is assembled, hang the wreath on your door and enjoy.
