INGREDIENTS
1½ cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup almond brickle bits
3/4 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine first four ingredients and mix until lights and fluffy. Add next four ingredients and mix well. Add last two ingredients and incorporate thoroughly.
2. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Shape dough into 1½-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
